1. THE SCRIPTURES - We believe that the Scripture of the Old and New Testament are the inerrant, divinely inspired Word of God, and that inerrancy extends to the entire Bible, even to the words in the original writings. We believe that the Bible is God's complete and final revelation of Himself to men and is the supreme authority in all matters pertaining to the Christian Faith and Life. 2 Timothy. 3:16 2. THE TRIUNE GOD - We believe there is one living and true God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, yet one in substance and equal in every divine perfection. Mark. 12:29 3. GOD THE FATHER - We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. Isa. 6:1-8 4. GOD THE SON - We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, and that He has precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections as, God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that He is not only true God, but true man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe in His sinless life, His substitution atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, and His present intercession on behalf of His people. Matthew 3:17 5. GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT - We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. We believe He regenerates, indwells, seals, and baptizes into Christ and into His Body, the Church, all who believe in Christ. His present ministry includes glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ, implementing Christ's redemptive work, as well as empowering believers for godly living and service. John.16:7-12 6. CREATED SPIRITS - We bel1eve in spirit-beings called angels who were created originally by God for His purposes. We believe that Lucifer, the chief angel, rebelled against God, an act which caused legions of angels to follow him and resulted in their being divinely judged and cast out of Heaven. Today, two kinds of angels exist, good and evil, each with allegiance.-to either God or Satan. Psalm 148:2-5 7. MAN - We believe God created man in His own image, male and female, and without sin. We believe that through Adam's sin the entire human race became sinful, thus, becoming sinners by nature as well as deed. As a result of sin, man is spiritually dead, subject to death and divine wrath and needful of the grace of God for salvation. Genesis 1:26 8. SALVATION - We believe salvation is mediated through God's grace based on the substitutionary death of Christ on the cross for man's sin. We believe that salvation is received through repentance and faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. We believe that those truly born of God are eternally secure and will dwell in God's presence forever, while those who reject God's salvation will remain forever separated from God. Ephesians 2:8-9 9. THE CHURCH - We believe that the Church is the spiritual Body of which Christ is the Head. We believe that the true Church is composed of all who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe the Church expressed itself in local assemblies comprised of members immersed upon a credible confession of faith and organized for worship, instruction, evangelism and ministry. We believe the ordinances of the local church are twofold: Believer's Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe in the autonomy of the local church, free from any political or ecclesiastical control. Ephesians 1:22 10. LAST THINGS - We believe God will fulfill all His promises to the Church, as well as to Israel. Accordingly, Christ will rapture His Church, will return to reign for a thousand years after which He will execute the judgment of the Great White Throne and usher in the final estate. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and lost, and the eternal existence of all men, either in heaven or hell. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
